Building a ONE STRING THING

Here is what happens on Day 2 with the Target/Core group. Students nail their fingerboard to their instrument bodies. In the last 5 years I have made approximately 1000 of these instruments with students and have been hit badly by a hammer twice.

Here students are decorating their instruments, they choose designs that have special meaning or represent their interests. Students are allowed to decorate with colored pencils or crayons only since markers end up all over your hands when you play a song.
