Central Electronics 100V

Unquestionably, the finest phasing rig ever made..., and a joy to operate. Notice the absence of PA tuning and loading controls. The 100V is totally broadbanded, including the output amplifier stage, a pair of 6550's. This particular 100V came to me after sitting in a barn for a while. It was dirty, rusted and half covered with motor oil. I disassembled it down to the individual modules which I then cleaned and repaired as necessary. The shiny front panel hardware in this picture is non-original as all the original screws were well rusted. The front panel, evidently well painted and a good grade of aluminum, cleaned up nicely with minimal damage to the paint. (The panel is actually nicer than it appears here. High JPEG compression created the color mottling.)

The picture below shows the 100V with its two front panels open, revealing the SSB phasing controls, level adjustments, etc. Notice the chain drives associated with the bandswitch.

Below, with the top open, notice the beefy power transformer. The 100V was rated for continuous RTTY operation at full power. The PA cage is in the upper right corner of the image. Sadly, rust spots are abundant although mostly cosmetic. The chassis fared well suffering only spotty corrosion.
